Water Soluble Potassium Silicate fertilizer for fertigation, foliar, hydroponics and soil.

AgSil 16H, 50-pound bag (AgSil 16h Unavailable? Here’s How to Use AgSil 25 Instead)

AgSil 16h potassium silicate offers professional growers these performance benefits in many agricultural applications:

  • Provides resistance to mineral stress.
  • Decreases climate stress.
  • Improves strength.
  • Increases growth and yield.
  • AgSil 16h potassium silicate helps plants to resist toxicity from phosphorous, manganese, aluminum, and iron, and increases tolerance to salt (1).
  • AgSil 16h potassium silicate also aids in resistance to drought by reducing water loss, and in some cases it may increase growth and yield (1-5).
  • Application of AgSil 16h potassium silicate improves leaf erectness, reduces susceptibility to lodging in grasses, and improves photosynthesis efficiency (1). For turf this can result in faster, healthier greens and athletic fields.
  • Row crops, vine crops, ornamentals, and hydroponically grown plants can all benefit from potassium silicate supplementation.

AgSil 16h is a 1.6 weight ratio (SiO2 : K2O), hydrous potassium silicate powder with 32% K2O and 52.8% SiO2 and 14.8% H2O. We had it analyzed by a laboratory using the AAPFCO approved method and the results showed 17.37% soluble silicon. Silicon is a plant beneficial element.

When preparing concentrated stock solutions it is recommended to only use very pure distilled or deionized water. Prior to diluting the potassium silicate, raise the pH of the water to above 11.3 pH with potassium hydroxide. Starting with half the final solution volume of distilled water with pH >11.3, add the required potassium silicate, stir until completely dissolved. Now top off to the final volume with more distilled water with pH >11.3. Keep covered, do not aerate.

For foliar IPM application, we recommend mixing AgSil 16H with Dyna-Gro Pure Neem Oil.

Mix 1.5 grams AgSil 16H with 1 ounce Dyna-Gro Pure Neem Oil to saponify the oil. Then mix this saponified oil with one gallon final volume spray solution. Spray every other week covering all plant surfaces (top and bottom of leaves) until it runs off.
