Spray Drip Down & Total Immerse Methods
Total Immerse and Foliar spray application can be used interchangeably. The active ingredients are absorbed into the leaves and stems then transported to the basal end where it induces root formation.
The active ingredients are transported through the phloem to the basal end. It induces cell diffusion and root induction in the presence of oxygen and water.
These methods retard bud formation; the cuttings to put their energy into root formation.
Spray Drip Down Method:
Use about one gallon of rooting solution for 175-225 sq. ft. Plant in media then spray the leaves of the cuttings with rooting solution until the solution drips down.
Total Immerse Method:
Dip whole cuttings into rooting solution then plant in media.
Leafy herbaceous cuttings, Chrysanthemum, Plumbago, Ivy, Clematis, Delphinium, Lavender, Ficus, Potted Rose Bushes, Etc:
50-1500 ppm IBA Hortus IBA Water Soluble Salts™ or when using 1-10 tablets per liter water (50-500 ppm IBA) using Rhizopon AA Water Soluble Tablets™, above 500 ppm IBA use the Salts
Leafy softwood cuttings, Buddleia (Butterfly Bush), Hydrangea, Pieris, Hedera (Ivy), Etc:
200-2000 ppm IBA Hortus IBA Water Soluble Salts™ or when using 4-10 tablets per liter water (200-500 ppm IBA) using Rhizopon AA Water Soluble Tablets™, above 500 ppm IBA use the Salts.
Leafy hardwood cuttings, Conifers, Etc:
200-2000 ppm IBA as Hortus IBA Water Soluble Salts™.
1/4 gram (0.25 grams) of Hortus IBA Water Soluble Salts (50 mg IBA) yields 50 ppm IBA when dissolved in 1 liter of water.
50 ppm IBA = 1 Tablet = 0.25 grams of Salts
