About Sulfate of Potash
From the waters of the Great Salt Lake in Utah, Great Salt Lake Minerals uses environmentally responsible processes to produce sulfate of potash specialty fertilizer. Sulfate of potash, also known as potassium sulfate or SOP, provides the essential nutrients potassium and sulfur with virtually no chloride. This makes it a vital fertilizer for high-value crops such as vegetables, fruits and nuts, as well as for turf grass and horticulture.
Sulfate of potash (K2SO4) is a dual nutrient with an equivalent potassium content of 50 percent potassium oxide (K2O), commonly referred to as potash, and 50 percent sulfate (SO4). Sulfate of potash is the most effective product to build vital potassium and sulfur nutrition for high yields and consistent quality in specialized agriculture and turf markets because, unlike other potassium sources, it contains virtually no chloride which can damage crops. GSL's SOP has the lowest salt index of all major potassium sources.
|Sulfate of Potash (SOP)||0.85|
|Muriate of Potash (MOP)||1.93|
|Potassium Nitrate (KNO3)||1.58|
|Potassium Magnesium Sulfate (SPM)||1.97|
