Silica Pro™ is a high-purity potassium silicate powder that delivers plant-available silicon (Si) and soluble potassium (K₂O) in a fully water-soluble form — engineered for growers who demand precision and performance.

Silicon is one of the most underutilized tools in crop production. When supplied consistently, it strengthens cell walls, improves resistance to fungal pathogens and insects, and dramatically increases tolerance to heat, drought, and salinity stress. How to Use — Dosage Rates

⚠ Always add to water before other nutrients. Raises solution pH.

General / Continuous Program: 0.25 g per gallon

NFT, DWC & Recirculating Hydro (target 3–6 ppm Si): 0.04–0.08 g/gal

Drip, Ebb & Flow, Auto-Fertigation (target 15–20 ppm Si): 0.20–0.27 g/gal

Weekly Drench — Soilless Media (target 45–50 ppm Si): ~0.67 g/gal

Foliar IPM: 1.5 g + 1 oz neem oil per gallon, apply every other week to runoff

GENERAL FEEDING (Continuous Program)
0.25 g per gallon of nutrient solution — suitable for all continuous fertigation and hydroponic programs.

NFT, DWC & Recirculating Hydroponics

Rate: ~0.04–0.08 g per gallon

FOLIAR - Foliar application of potassium silicate is effective as a direct-contact pest and disease management tool. When applied to plant surfaces, silicon exerts a desiccation action on soft-bodied insects and fungal pathogens such as powdery mildew. Note: foliar silicon is not readily absorbed through leaf tissue and does not contribute to systemic plant uptake — root application via fertigation, drench, or top watering is required for plants to benefit from silicon's structural and stress-tolerance effects.
Foliar IPM Rate: Mix 1.5 g Silica Pro with 1 oz Dyna-Gro Pure Neem Oil to saponify, then bring to 1 gallon final volume. Apply every other week, spray to runoff covering all plant surfaces.

FERTIGATION - Delivered through an irrigation system, fertigation feeds plants while you water. This method ensures even distribution of nutrients directly to the root zone, making it efficient for larger gardens or automated systems.

SOIL DRENCH - Pour the diluted solution around the base of the plant to soak into the root zone. This deep-feeding method nourishes roots directly and is ideal for systemic nutrient uptake and long-term plant health.

TOP WATERING - Apply the solution manually over the soil surface with a watering can or hose. As water moves downward, nutrients are carried through the root zone, making this an easy, effective feeding method for container or in-ground plants.

Stock Solution Prep Note: Use distilled/deionized water. Raise pH above 11.3 with potassium hydroxide before dissolving powder. Keep covered, do not aerate. (Fatzinger & Bugbee, 2021)
