Multi-Parameter Substrate Monitoring
The S-2108 simultaneously measures three critical parameters for irrigation and fertigation management. Volumetric water content (VWC) indicates substrate moisture levels, temperature affects nutrient uptake and root health, and electrical conductivity (EC) reflects nutrient concentration. The sensor calculates pore water EC (pwEC) using the Hilhorst method, providing accurate nutrient availability data across different substrate types.

Pore Water EC Calculation
The sensor measures bulk EC and calculates pore water EC (pwEC) using the Hilhorst method. Pore water EC represents the actual nutrient concentration available to plant roots, accounting for substrate moisture content. This allows precise fertigation management across different substrate types and moisture levels, optimizing nutrient delivery while reducing waste.
LoRaWAN Connectivity
Long-range wireless transmission enables sensor deployment across large greenhouse operations and outdoor fields without complex wiring. Compatible with worldwide LoRaWAN networks.
