Calcium Chloride fertilizer

Vitro feed grade calcium chloride prilled is 93% pure, delivering 33% Calcium and 59% Chloride. One gram in one gallon of water yields 87 ppm Calcium and 155 ppm Chloride. Ideal for supplementing hydroponic solutions and making foliar calcium fertilizers to prevent blossom end rot in tomatoes, peppers, and other susceptible crops.

Applications

• Hydroponics — Supplement calcium in recirculating and drain-to-waste systems. Limit chloride to 50–100 ppm depending on crop sensitivity
• Foliar — Apply as a foliar spray to prevent or correct calcium deficiency and blossom end rot
• Fertigation — Compatible with drip and fertigation systems

Safety Note

CAUTION: When making concentrated solutions, use cool water. Significant heat is released when dissolving. Add calcium chloride slowly while continuously mixing. If solids are allowed to sit motionless in contact with water, a hard cake will form that will be slow to dissolve.
