Silicon is recognized as a plant beneficial element. The plant-available form of silicon is silicic acid, represented as either H4Si04 or Si(OH)4. This small molecule is uncharged at neutral pH.

Soluble potassium silicates are fertilizers that once diluted in water to working strength (10-25 ppm Si) and pH (5-6.5) react with the water (hydrolysis) to form silicic acid. AgSil potassium silicate fertilizers are completely soluble in water and 100% bioavailable in solution to the plants.
