Choose Coverage by Structure Dimensions

When sizing a blackout cover, measure the surface the film must span rather than relying on greenhouse floor width alone. Allow material for the roof profile, side coverage, overlaps, and attachment points. The 32 ft × 100 ft dimensions refer to the film, not the greenhouse footprint it will cover.

Plan for Consistent Dark Periods

Blackout film is one component of a light deprivation system. Review edges, seams, doors, and ventilation openings for potential light leaks, and plan how the cover will be secured and operated. Follow the manufacturer's installation instructions and coordinate covering schedules with ventilation and crop requirements.
