Choose Dolomite When Magnesium Is Also Needed

Dolomitic lime supplies both calcium and magnesium. Base its use on soil or growing-media test results rather than adding it routinely for calcium alone. If magnesium is already adequate, consider whether a different calcium or liming source better fits the fertility plan.

Application and Response

Determine the application rate from a soil-test lime recommendation or a validated potting-mix formulation, together with the product label. Soil pH alone does not establish the required dose. Follow guidance for incorporation, watering and retesting before making additional applications.

Lime reacts over time; it is not an instant pH correction. Response depends on particle size, moisture, incorporation and the buffering capacity of the soil or media. Avoid overliming or using an assumed universal rate.

Use this product for soil and growing-media amendment rather than as a direct replacement for soluble calcium and magnesium fertilizers in hydroponic nutrient solutions.
