FibreDust 1-meter lay-flat grow bags, also known as coco grow slabs, contain compressed coconut coir that expands when hydrated to fill the bag. Choose True Blend 70/30 or Berry Blend 80/20 for your greenhouse production system.

Blend options

• True Blend 70/30: The stock blend contains 70% coir pith (small particles) and 30% cut fiber.
• Berry Blend 80/20: Contains 80% coir pith and 20% cut fiber, giving it a higher proportion of small-particle pith than True Blend.

The ratios above refer to coir pith to cut fiber. Select the blend to suit your crop and irrigation program rather than assuming the two blends require identical watering schedules.

Grow-slab format

Each approximately 1-meter (39-inch) lay-flat bag includes a compressed coconut coir slab and three pre-cut planting openings. The horizontal format suits row-based greenhouse production and can be used with compatible Dutch leach trays for runoff collection.

Preparation and crop management

Hydrate the compressed slab according to the manufacturer's instructions until fully expanded before planting. Confirm drainage provisions and arrange runoff collection for your growing system. Match fertigation to the crop, growth stage, and selected blend, and monitor root-zone EC and pH throughout production.
