Osmocote Smart-Release Plant Food Flower & Vegetable 14-14-14 provides balanced nutrition for seasonal vegetables and perennials, supporting strong roots and vigorous above-ground growth. Its resin-coated granules feed for up to 4 months.

How smart-release feeding works

Each nutrient granule is coated with a semi-permeable resin. Water passes through the coating and dissolves the nutrients inside. Nutrient release responds to soil temperature, with more nutrients released during warmer, active growing periods. The empty resin shell remains after the nutrients have been released.

How to apply

3. Water regularly.
4. Reapply every 4 months according to package directions.

Plant-specific application rates

• Tomatoes and peppers: 1½ scoopfuls per 4 sq. ft.
• Carrots, onions, and beans: 1 scoopful per 10 ft. of garden row.
• Bedding transplants: 1 teaspoon per 4-inch plant.
• Trees and shrubs: 1 scoopful per 2 ft. of branch spread.
• Bulbs: ½ teaspoon per bulb.
