Poultry-manure-based nutrition with added biology

Sigma 5-3-2 Bio combines organic nutrient sources with humic acids, beneficial bacteria, endomycorrhizae and Trichoderma in an easy-to-spread granular fertilizer. Each 50 lb bag provides 5-3-2 NPK, 7% calcium and 0.1% iron for professional crop, turf, nursery and ornamental programs.

Its nitrogen includes both water-soluble and slowly available water-insoluble fractions. For example, a grower preparing a vegetable bed can incorporate the label-selected rate 2–3 weeks before planting as part of a soil-test-based nutrient program.

For non-residential use only. Select rates for your crop, site and nutrient plan, and follow the label’s local restrictions.

Guaranteed analysis

  • Total nitrogen: 5.0%
    • Water-soluble nitrogen: 1.2%
    • Water-insoluble nitrogen: 3.8%
  • Available phosphate (P₂O₅): 3.0%
  • Soluble potash (K₂O): 2.0%
  • Calcium: 7.0%
  • Iron: 0.1%

Plant nutrients derived from processed poultry manure, bone meal, feather meal and sulfate of potash. The label identifies the 3.8% water-insoluble nitrogen as slowly available nitrogen from processed poultry manure, bone meal and feather meal.

Documented BIO package

  • Humic acids: 3.0%, derived from leonardite
  • Total beneficial bacteria: 2,800,000 CFU/lb
  • Total endomycorrhizal propagules: 6.1/lb
  • Total Trichoderma: 480,000 CFU/lb

The label lists Bacillus subtilis, Bacillus amyloliquefaciens, Brevibacillus laterosporus and Bacillus licheniformis; four Glomus species; and Trichoderma viride and Trichoderma harzianum. These specifications identify the added biology, rather than relying on NPK alone to describe the formulation.

Handling and restrictions

Store in a cool, dry area and avoid prolonged direct sunlight. Do not apply near water, storm drains or drainage ditches, or when heavy rain is expected. Sweep fertilizer off paved surfaces back onto the treated area. Do not eat or feed to animals; do not allow ruminants to graze treated land until after rainfall or irrigation. Wash hands after handling. See the label for complete precautions and state-specific requirements.
