5-Micron Activated Liquid Biochar for Soil Health

Sigma Biochar 5 Micron is an activated liquid biochar concentrate derived from Southern Yellow Pine via high-temperature pyrolysis (550–700°C). At an average particle size of 5 microns, it delivers biochar deep into the soil profile — improving physical and biological soil characteristics, increasing cation exchange capacity, and building long-term soil carbon.

OMRI listed for organic production. Compatible with spray rigs, fertigation systems, and tank mixes. Available in 2.5 gallon jugs (case of 2) and 275 gallon totes.

Application Rates

Agriculture, Turf, Landscape & Gardens
Mix 0.5–4 oz concentrate per 1,000 sq ft in a tank (equivalent to 22–180 oz per acre).

Trees & Large Shrubs
Apply 0.5–2 oz concentrate per inch of trunk diameter (DBH) into a tank.

Aggressive Remediation of Contaminated Soils
Mix 6–10 oz concentrate per 1,000 sq ft in a tank (equivalent to 260–436 oz per acre).

⚠️ Important Notes

• Pre-Charge: Biochar is most effective when pre-charged — blend with other inputs or amendments prior to application
• Input Reduction: Reduce other inputs (e.g., fertilizers) by at least 25% when using biochar
• Rate Selection: Use higher rates for poor soils, lower rates for good soils
• Frequency: Apply 1–4 times per year; use smaller rates for multiple applications
