A practical refill for your home water softener

Your softener needs salt to prepare the brine used during regeneration. Keep the brine tank supplied according to your equipment manufacturer's instructions.

• Form: Salt pellets for softeners that recommend sodium chloride pellets.
• Brand: Tru-Soft, from United Salt Corporation.

Check before ordering

Confirm your softener recommends sodium chloride salt pellets. Salt consumption varies with water hardness, household water use, and softener settings.

Refill and storage

Check the salt level regularly and refill to the level recommended in your water softener manual. Follow the equipment manufacturer's guidance for maintenance, salt bridges, and regeneration settings. Store unopened bags in a dry location and use appropriate care when lifting a 40 lb bag.
